Antibes, de Maupassant, love and careerWe are in port Vauban on the cap d’antibes.

Want to photograph the Fort of Kara – the famous ancient fortress in the shape of four-pointed stars in the same angle in which it was captured by French landscape artist Eugene Boudin on the canvas “Fort Caret”.

Photo of this painting I placed in the lower left corner of the image area and the Fort. Of course, over half a century since the picture was painted, the landscape has changed. In my opinion, for the better.

Amazing water views, reinforced by the memory of such extraordinary events and people associated with these places, set up a romantic mood.
